Use people for judgment
Staff remain responsible for preparation, spills, detail work, exceptions, inspection, and care of the machine. Automation can change where their time goes without removing the need for skilled work.
Judge the complete result
The right measure is whether the combined team completes the required work more reliably. Novelty, discomfort, or enthusiasm should not substitute for operating evidence.
