Perception becomes more useful
Some newer robots can distinguish surfaces, obstacles, debris, or stains and adjust their behavior. The important question is how reliably those capabilities work in the lighting, traffic, and soil conditions of the actual site.
Cleaning can become more selective
A machine that revisits dirty areas or changes its cleaning mode may use time, water, and battery more deliberately. That value should be confirmed through route results rather than assumed from the feature name.
Human review still closes the loop
Software can report what the robot detected and did, but the facility still sets the standard and verifies the outcome. AI adds another tool for judgment; it does not replace operational responsibility.
